Osteopathy is a hands-on therapy that is gentle and non-invasive, working to help the body self-heal and self-regulate. Through gentle adjustment of the body, we work to remove obstructions that restrict the flow of the blood, lymph and nerve impulses. Through our daily lives or trauma, the body's structure may be unbalanced or have dysfunction that limits our body's ability to breathe, move, digest, and many other functions. Once the structure is balanced, the body can self-heal and self-regulate.
Manual osteopaths achieve this by working with the body's soft tissues, as well as the joints, ligaments, and bones. A classically trained osteopathic manual practitioner must use their vast knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics to do this effectively while applying the core osteopathic principles.

My hormone experience began at a young age. Ever since having a period, I only knew pain. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t normal though. I would try my best to avoid pain medication. I would miss school and sports. My period took over my whole life a few days of every month. When I was finally diagnosed endometriosis, it all made sense. I felt validated and heard. But it took about 10 years for this to happen. My goal as a naturopathic doctor is to support you in a way that I wasn’t. I don’t want you to have the same story, you deserve better.

Do you want to understand your hormones better? Have you been told that your period symptoms are “normal”? Have you been prescribed the pill to “regulate” your cycle? You are in the right place! You probably haven’t been assessed for the underlying causes of your concerns. Instead, you’ve been told that you are fine. Dr. Ann-Marie will work with you to investigate what’s actually happening in your body. It’s not enough to wait for you to feel helpless, uncomfortable and at your wit’s end. If you feel like you aren’t living optimally or your health concerns are holding you back, know that you have options and Dr. Ann-Marie would love to enlighten you on what they are. Credentials Dr. Ann-Marie graduated from the University of Guelph (Honours BAS) and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). She has training in acupuncture, nutritional counselling, herbal medicine and lifestyle counselling. Dr. Ann-Marie has a special interest in women’s health including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility and pregnancy and menopause. As well as weight management, irritable bowel syndrome, and thyroid conditions. Most importantly she has a passion for teaching patients about their health so that they feel confident and informed
